Avendo esaminato il disegno di questa parete e messo a confronto dell’originale la ho riconosciuta copiata con la massima esattezza e diligenza, e perizia di arte.

(trans: Having examined the design of this wall and made a comparison of the original, I have recognized it copied with the utmost exactitude and diligence, and art expertise.)

This drawing, judging by the central painting of a nereid riding a seahorse, would appear to be of the west wall of the cubiculum.

The two “vignettes” in the side panels, however, appear to belong to the east wall.
