VI.8.23 Pompeii. Pre-October 1852. Drawing by Zahn, of painted

Zahn described it as – “many small temples, a priestess and a man
on horseback.
The walls of the first temple are yellow, the columns and
architrave are white. The tympanum of the pediment is green and the roof red.
In the house, placed behind, the ground floor is red, the frieze
is blue, the floor above is green and the tympanum of the pediment is blue, the
columns and cornices are white.
The walls of the temple on the right are red, the columns white,
the frieze and the tympanum of the pediment are blue; the roof is a
brownish/red.

According to Zahn, this was from VI.9.6, but we were unable to find it there.

According to Jashemski there was a portico on the north and east side of the garden.
It was supported by four columns and two engaged columns.

We have been unable to find it on the walls from which in his book he says a large amount of the plaster was already missing.
However, in his 1837 book Gell states: This subject is painted in a yellow panel in the hospitium of the house of the lesser fountain of shells.
