Remains of simple wall painting from north wall, a painted red dado (zoccolo) with white painted upper wall but lacking any decoration.
All around the wall at regular intervals, some holes were drilled for shelving supports.

VI.8.23 Pompeii. May 2005. North wall of ala, with a yellow zoccolo (dado) and middle and upper areas painted white.
According to PPM, green painted plants could be seen in the narrow side panels of the zoccolo: in the central area was a rectangular area with garlands and a horizontal border of a “carpet” design on which peacocks rested.
Painted in the central aedicula was a female flying figure wearing a garment and cloak, outstretching her arms and holding a palm branch in the left hand.
In the upper part were architectural views with garlands, candelabra, shields and temples.
Painted in a square in the centre, was a clothed goddess on a throne, with sceptre in left arm and plate in the right hand.
