IX.13.1-3 Pompeii. May 2010. Room 21, kitchen roof. According to Giordano and Casale, on 26th May 1969, a painted inscription was found on the peristyle, in red, on the wall above the kitchen. It read – C . IVLIVM . POLIBIVM . D . VIR . D. R. P. O See Atti della Accademia Pontaniana, vol XXXIX, 1990 for article by Giordano, C & Casale, A: “Iscrizioni Pompeiane inedite scoperte tra gli anni 1954-1978” (p.284)

According to Giordano and Casale, on 26th May 1969, a painted inscription was found on the peristyle, in red, on the wall above the kitchen. It read –
