According to Della Corte, this magnificent dwelling, belonged to the Verus family.
According to the graffiti written on the façade, this was A. Rustius Verus, noted as aedile and duumvir candidate.
Another mentioned was Ti. Claudius Verus, who held the position of supreme magistrate for the year 61-62.
Much graffiti was found on the façade, especially between IX.8.6 and 7, for this see IX.8.7.

According to Bragantini, de Vos, Badoni, Diana is holding a serpent in her hand.
This photograph seems to indicate that she was, in fact, holding a bow.
