Originally there would have been another two rooms butting onto the south wall of the peristyle garden, on the west side of the oecus with the painted south wall, seen on left above.

At the top of the wall there was a scene with a cock and a hen between pomegranates, turning to the right towards an altar on which were offerings; on the right there was an overthrown basket with fruit and grapes spilling out, and on which sat a bird and a goose.
According to Sampaolo in PPM, -
this house has taken its name from the recent practice of the staff of Pompeii, to name it after the fresco in this oecus.
