According to Della Corte, another dog in a mosaic, apart from the plaster cast, was in the floor of the first room to the right of the atrium.
This was discovered on 23rd February 1875.
Now in Naples Archaeological Museum, inventory number 110666.

According to PPM – (room e) -
North wall; red panelled zoccolo with painted plants at the
sides and Ibis (disappeared) in the centre (disappeared): the middle zone,
nearly all faded, had an aedicula in the centre with a painting of a crowned
Dionysus, talking to a crowned female figure, to the sides semi-panels with
“carpet borders” and corner volutes, at the top of the wall was a stucco cornice
with palmettes. IV Style.

According to Sogliano: cubiculum on the right of the entrance corridor, (height: 0.52 x length: 0.42).
In the middle
stands crowned Dionisus with his right elbow resting
on a base or pillar and with the thyrsus in the left hand. On the right you can
see a female figure, also crowned, who is talking to him by putting, as it
seems, the right hand/arm on the shoulder.
