VI.9.2 Pompeii. December 2007. Doorway to room 14, cubiculum on south side of atrium.
According to PPM, the walls were painted with a black zoccolo and a red middle zone with a glimpse of architectural decoration.
The floor was of cocciopesto ornamented with white tesserae, which seemed to have been later modernised with the insertion of pieces of marble.

According to Overbeck-Mau, a painting of Leda and the swan would have been in the centre of the wall.

According to Overbeck-Mau, a painting of Venus fishing would have been seen in the centre of wall.
