According to Boyce, in the west wall of the peristyle, in the centre of the space beneath the front portico, was an arched niche.
It was coated with white stucco like the walls of the room, except that the floor and the corners were red.

According to Jashemski –
The peristyle garden at the rear of the tablinum of this caupona (excavated 1884-5) had a portico that had undergone various changes. It was supported by columns and pillars on part of the south, west and north sides.
The low masonry wall near the edge of the garden which outlined its limits on these sides, had a planting area on the south side in the top of the wall. There was a gutter, wider on the south side, just inside this wall.
Graffiti written on the portico just outside the triclinium by the fuller L. Quintilius Crescens give a vivid picture of a banquet held by the fullers in this caupona, etc. (see CIL IV numbers on a photo below).
There is a marble statue base in the garden today. The arched niche in the west wall may have been a lararium.
There is a lararium painting in the south-east corner of the garden.

According to Della Corte found written in the portico outside the triclinium were many graffiti, acknowledging L. Quintilius Crescens, leader of a merry group of fullones.
Having become extremely drunk from the good wine, they proceeded to make a series of enthusiastic written salutations.
