The garden was enclosed with a low wall on the north and east sides.
The large brick pillar used to support the roof of the portico.
Behind the pillar are the stairs leading up to the summer loggia with triclinium.

When excavated, one of the fallen lay on her left side, her head was to the east and her legs were to the west, slightly contracted.
The other lay on her right side with her head on the bosom of the first, with their arms entwined around each other.

The casts were formed “with the long and patient work of two valued workmen, Umberto Borelli and Armando Mancini”.

Under the abdomen was an iron key and the victim had two rings on the right hand, one bronze, the other iron with an elliptical gem on which was incised the figure of the god Mercury standing left, with purse and caduceus.
