IX.1.20 Pompeii. Found on 3rd March 1866. Room 10, tablinum. Seal of Italicus servant of Epidius Rufus.
The seal has the name ITALICI EP. RVFI.
According to the Epigraphic
Database Roma this reads:
Italici
Ep(idi) Rufi (:servi)
Now in Naples Archaeological Museum. Inventory number 4756.
IX.1.20 Pompeii. Found on 3rd March 1866. Room 10, tablinum. Handle of the seal of Italicus servant of Epidius Rufus.
This shows an amphora which seems to refer to the trade of wine, to which the Epidii family is known for tradition.
Now in Naples Archaeological Museum. Inventory number 4756.
