According to Della Corte, this was a large caupona of the usual form with rear and upstairs room.
He thought it would have been in the possession of a Primus, according to the recommendations written on the left of entrance IX.1.15.

According to Warscher, this corner pilaster, on the face turned towards the Decumanus, showed traces of a disappearing Oscan inscription.
