VIII.5.9 Pompeii. March 2009. Doorway in remains of south wall of room 4, ala, into room 5, triclinium.
VIII.5.9 Pompeii. March 2009. Room 5, triclinium. South wall with doorway to north portico.
According to Boyce, in the south-west corner of an undecorated room on the right of the tablinum was a small hearth.
On the west wall was a rough painting of an aedicula with a small pediment and a door of two leaves thrown open.
Two figures were seated within, indistinguishable in detail because of the fading of the colours and the crudeness of the painting.
See Boyce G. K., 1937. Corpus of the Lararia of Pompeii. Rome: MAAR 14. (p.77, no.369)
VIII.5.9 Pompeii. Room 5, anonymous drawing of painting seen on the west wall.
According to Bragantini in PPM,
“in the small room (g) was found the lararium painting with figures sitting within an aedicula of which we can get a vague idea thanks to this anonymous reproduction, of the painting, that although not signed could certainly be attributed to Geremia Discanno.”

VIII.5.9 Pompeii. Two bowls found in tablinum on 4th October 1881, together with 88 others and 37 pottery lamps.
They were all packed in a wooden crate. Now in Naples Archaeological Museum.
According to BdI –
“In the tablinum, the walls were covered with rough plaster showing traces of burning.
The floor, as also in the atrium, was composed of the usual mass of stucco with crushed lava; a simple design was executed using white stones.
Here was found on the 4th October 1881, a deposit of 37 cups/bowls, described on p.175. Another 53 similar cups/bowls were recomposed from fragments found here. The description of all of them can be found in Notizie degli Scavi, 1881, p.300 (to p.322) and in 1882, p.275. And in the same tablinum, found on the floor (1881, p.324), was a certain amount of red “terracotta” that seemed to have been contained in a wooden crate.”
