VII.12.34 Pompeii. December 2005. Looking east to entrance doorway.
VII.12.34 Pompeii. December 2005. Looking east across bar room.
On the right at the rear was the doorway to the triclinium, on the rear left was a corridor leading to the latrine.
On the extreme left, is a doorway linking to VII.12.35.
According to Hobson, the siting of latrines is most often “off a narrow corridor”.
In both VII.12.34 and 35, there would have been a great deal of privacy.
