VII.3.24 Pompeii. December 2005. Entrance.
VII.3.24 Pompeii. Looking north from entrance.
According to Fiorelli, this was a workshop that was part of the house next-door.
This area had two furnaces, one basin and a hearth all mostly destroyed.
The latrine was next to the entrance, together with a small room.
Then, through the doorway with the two steps (possibly modern), was the atrium.
On the south side of the atrium were stairs to the upper floor, and on the north side was a cubiculum.
