The walls have a high dado (laterizio), and above this was a simple white plaster.
The dado was divided into panels by vertical yellow bands.
In the centre of each panel was a painting of a feeding bird, except that on the right of the entrance doorway to the atrium, which showed two birds.
At the rear in the east wall can be seen the doorway into the atrium of VI.16.32.

VI.16.33 Pompeii. December 2007. Bar room C. Two-sided counter next to south wall, with painted plaster with red background.
According to NdS, the threshold of this wide doorway was missing, but it may have been made of wood on the side of the roadway.
The floor was Opus signinum, buried in the floor near the entrance from the street was a piece of lava-stone with a hole in the middle for the closure bar.

VI.16.33 Pompeii. May 2005. Two-sided masonry counter, and shelving for display.
These four small shelves, on the right, were made from masonry and were painted red.
According to NdS, a painted figure was seen at the extreme end of the counter, on the left, in its north facing arm.
This male figure was 0.57m high, with long yellow robe raised by his erect phallus.
The same figure was painted opposite.

According to NdS, the outer surface of this counter had a red background.
On the surface facing the road, according to Sogliano, obscene paintings were discovered.
In the centre, in a yellow frame, was a large erect phallus.
On each side, a male figure could be seen facing towards the centre panel and each other.
The figure on the right was better preserved, and bald.
There were also other painted panels and arabesques.

According to NdS, the centre of the panel immediately to the right of the entrance doorway to the atrium showed two birds.
On the left may be a bleeding cockerel which is going to fall, beaten by another cockerel on the right, who holds something in his beak.
