VI.16.15 Pompeii. December 2006. West wall of room H. According to NdS, the right side of the door was formed by a pilaster sticking out into the inside of the room. This pilaster served to support the architrave. This same pillar divided the room into two parts. The south part was larger and covered with a vaulted ceiling; the other to the north was smaller and had a flat ceiling.

VI.16.15 Pompeii. May 2005.

Looking south across room M from entrance VI.16.17. The small room K can be seen behind the low wall.

According to NdS, in the north-east corner of room K was a pillar of stone blocks of Sarno.

These seemed to have belonged to an older building.

VI.16.15 Pompeii. December 2007. Room K and doorway to atrium B.

VI.16.15 Pompeii. December 2007. Room K and doorway to atrium B.

According to NdS, a small doorway with a threshold of lava connected the atrium with the rustic spaces K and L.

Both of these areas had a rough cocciopesto floor.  In the south-west corner of K, there was a masonry puteal.

VI.16.15 Pompeii. December 2007. Looking south across room L, towards doorway in south wall of room K, leading to atrium B. According to NdS, in the southern wall of room L, there was a small doorway that communicated with the understairs of room N (VI.16.16). This doorway was walled up by the ancients themselves, and a new doorway from the room under the stairs was opened onto the atrium instead (doorway in west wall of VI.16.16).
Room N was a rustic room with white plaster and a tall dado, with a small window in its west wall. See Notizie degli Scavi, 1908, (p.83).

In the exterior wall behind the toilet was a vertical terracotta pipe, this must have belonged to another toilet on the upper floor.

Also found in room L was a fusorium.
