Room 7, (on left) looking through tablinum to west portico, and north side of rear of house.
According to Jashemski, the peristyle garden, excavated in 1839, entered by a corridor from the atrium, had walls decorated in the first style.
The portico which enclosed the garden on the north and part of the west sides was supported by four fluted columns joined by a low wall.

Room 7, (on left) looking through tablinum to west portico, and north side of rear of house.

According to Jashemski, the peristyle garden, excavated in 1839, entered by a corridor from the atrium, had walls decorated in the first style.

The portico which enclosed the garden on the north and part of the west sides was supported by four fluted columns joined by a low wall.

According to Bragantini, the dado was yellow topped with stucco.
The middle zones of the walls were white.

According to Boyce, there was an arched niche in the west wall opposite a masonry structure.
This was in the small kitchen-like room on the south side of the atrium.
