According to Pagano and Prisciandaro, found in March 1830 in the small room to the left of the entrance, was a small wooden box.
In the box was a seal with the letters -

According to E. Winsor Leach this is a scene with Apollo in the throne room of the palace of the sun.
It possibly shows Phaeton confronting his designated bride Aphrodite but in this scene is being rejected by him.

On the wall are paintings of Athena briefly playing the double flute, Apollo with cithara and Marsyas with fawn-skin holding in his hand the double flute now thrown away by Athena.
