According to Garcia y Garcia, this area was nearly all destroyed by the bombing in 1943.
The bomb provoked the total fall of the walls, internal and external onto Via Consolare (VI.4.8), between the north wall and on its east side.

Now, it would appear to be a blocked rear entrance to VI.4.8 and VI.4.9, but according to Fiorelli, it was stairs to an upper independent dwelling.
