V.5.a Pompeii. Rear entrance to Casa dei Gladiatori or House of the Gladiators.

 

V.5.a Pompeii. May 2005. Un-numbered rear entrance from Vicolo dei Gladiatori, (it is unnumbered on the Eschebach plans). According to Van der Poel, it was numbered as V.5.A. This posticum, together with the stables were destroyed when it was bombed in 1943, See Van der Poel, H. B., 1986. Corpus Topographicum Pompeianum, Part IIIA. Austin: University of Texas. (p.80)
