According to PPM, the walls of the garden area had a rustic appearance with a high zoccolo of cocciopesto, above which was a coarse area.
In the N-O corner (north-west) of the garden, as a result of an old photo by Tatiana Warscher, amphorae could be seen.
According to PPP, the Warscher photo was taken from the south-east side of the garden, looking towards the north-west corner, showing the amphorae.
See Bragantini, de Vos, Badoni, 1983. Pitture e Pavimenti di Pompei, Parte 2. Rome: ICCD., (p.74, numbered 503070601, referenced Warscher MD, p.88, fig.1. DAIR S.N.)

V.3.7 Pompeii. Pre-1937. Detail of interior of aedicule lararium and niche.
The lararium lower zone had red plaster with an aedicula façade within which stood the painted figure of Ceres.
She was wearing a crown of ears of grain and held a torch in her left hand and a sheaf of grain in her right.
Boyce contrasts the delicacy of this painting with the coarser and more familiar lararium art above.

Second small niche on west wall, north of aedicula lararium.
The niche had a projecting slab for the ceiling and another for the floor.
A second floor within the niche covered the slab giving the appearance of a raised step within the niche.
The floor was painted in imitation of red and yellow marble.
The wall below the niche was covered with a painted garden decoration.
