According to Sogliano, the triclinium had a marble threshold or sill, and door-jambs made of wood.

The floor was made from rough cocciopesto.

According to Sogliano, the walls were decorated with large panels on a white background.
Three panels were seen on each wall, they had a red lower plinth.
The upper frieze of the walls was decorated with a white background, and showed architectural motifs, arabesques, garlands, flying animals, etc.
At the very top they finished with a stucco cornice in relief decorated with small painted palms.
Found in the centre of the other preserved panels were flying cupids with various attributes.

Ariadne has her right hand on the earth and her left hand to her face.
A bearded bronzed man is holding an oar. A winged cupid is weeping.
The ship of Theseus is sailing away in the background.

According to Sogliano, found on the east wall in the area between the cornice and the vault, on a white background, were arabesques, in the centre of which was a flying golden eagle.
