I.10.8 Pompeii. Looking towards south-east corner of atrium, and doorway to room 8, tablinum. According to NdS, this room was not the tablinum but was a day-bedroom (cubicolo diurno). The room obtained by a screen of opus craticium with wood and masonry was an almost square day-room, in which found on the rustic floor in the ash was an imprint of the shape of a low and wide bed with wooden frame. Il vano ricavato da un tramezzo ad opus craticium ad ossatura di legno e di fabbrica era un cubicolo diurno quasi quadrato; nel quale sul rustico pavimento a piano di fabbrica era rimasta conservata nella cenere l’impronta di un basso e largo letto a telaio di legno.
