Where the plaster has fallen can be seen a sketch of a Corinthian capital in red ochre and yellow, as well as other figures.

In the Illustrated London News this was published as being a recent excavation on the north side of the Via dell’Abbondanza.

I.9.13-14 has an entrance at I.9.13 on the north side of Via di Castricio but is south of Via dell’Abbondanza.

The architectural painting, the painted columns and the irregular edge of the plaster on the right-hand side all match the photos above and below.

The diagonal crack in the plaster above the door also matches.
