The subject was a temple with a curved roof, standing on a hill against which a tree was growing. See Peters, W.J.T. (1963): Landscape in Romano-Campanian Mural Paintings. The Netherlands, Van Gorcum & Comp. (p. 153 & fig. 147) The approximate area of the painting can be seen in the south-west corner, in the upper part of the photo, left of centre.
